Has 4 players basically set in stone.

1 - Flowers
2 - Noah
3 - ?
4 - Efe
5 - Jackson

Has Aiken, Rodman, Gueye as options at the 3. Mentioned Rosario but I also have to think Bamba figures in there somewhere. Aiken, Gueye also getting time at the 4 even though the article indicated both are more comfortable at small forward.

I see Gueye as a 4/3 or even 3/4 but however things play out we have more depth than I can ever remember. Still a lot of development needed but it's a pretty impressive roster and the lineup has the potential to compete at the top of the conference.

Should be an exciting and interesting season so many options and so much potential!

Practice video #2. Personally these are too much of a tease but nice to see Flowers and Koulibaly sightings.

I can see why the 2 players left who left. Formidable team to say the least. Jefferson has to me in there as well if he is as good as they had him last year before the injury. Who practices well will determine a lot. Depth at every position and quality depth at that.

I'm hoping beyond the offense and whatever his position (on or off the ball) that Koulibaly can become a plus defender. When he was recruited I was looking forward to seeing Koulibaly with Noah and Bonton in the lineup. Bonton's defense was good and we need to replace it. Now I'm looking forward to someday seeing Koulibaly, Noah, Gueye, and Efe on the court at the same time. I think they could cause some havoc.

Yeah, and Koulibaly is supposed to be a knock down shooter. I can see him starting as well. He has lots of experience in the system and in the meetings.

Flowers, Koulibaly, Noah, Aiken/Efe, and Jackson with Efe doing quite a bit of 5 work as well. There are just so many combo's possible. Going to be some great competition to be on the floor.

I liked Noah at the 2 but that could be the best lineup. Season can't get here soon enough for questions to start to get answered.

I hope one or two of them are reliable outside shooters. I was disappointed we didn't see that from Jakimovski last year.

You're right on the outside shooters. Also the lack of driving ability from that position really hurt and I think the replacement(s) will be better. Same as the ability of the posts to cover the pick-and-roll. That was tough when the big fellow was in there.

That was supposed to be perhaps his top skill. He was also thought to be ready day one. Unfortunately, he was very inconsistent all year long.

Very rare is the freshman who is not inconsistent. Especially those that wear a Cougar uniform.

Glad Cougar

Zero arguments from me there. That is why I think some of us take with a grain of salt proclamations that this freshman, or that freshman, is going to come in a light the world on fire, or start.
