Theo's 3 part series ends with an article mostly around whether CJ will jump. However, the discussions on the Kenpom jump from 207 to 127, Vova's progression, and comments from Pollard were pretty interesting IMO. Also "getting old and staying old".

All this speculation on CJ is almost amusing. Not at all sure its a great year to make a move to the NBA unless you get some guaranteed money. Things are shut down and won't even be easy to get up shots.

Vova's progression was delayed as he got no PT at all in the early season, but guess the analytics suggested that he wasn't ready, when pressed into service he showed up pretty well. Wish that they had a full spring to work with them, but not much anyone can do about that I guess.

This for obvious reasons will be a strange year for the NBA draft. There won’t be an NBA combine and I doubt there will be individual tryouts/ workouts, so players won’t be able to shine or be exposed in front of NBA execs. Not sure if that’s helps or hurts CJ but I doubt his decision is already made nor will it be an easy one.
Personally I wish we had been in a position to red shirt Volvo he could have used it imo. When injuries pushing him in to the line up he responded nicely, which is exactly what I would have hoped for. His performance showed he has potential to develop into a solid contributor but i have my doubts if that will be next year, I think probably his JR year. That’s why I think it is important to land a grad transfer big man.

I agree on a transfer big. Traditionally it takes bigs a bit longer than guards to develop. But I am also not much on redshirting as they then become Grad Transfers!
