There it is

Its not really a huge proclamation. Took me a second, with the TX flag in there, just had to make sure it wasn't UH.

Super glad to get him, sad that "next man up" had to happen the way it did.

We still need depth, though I'm not unsold on Gabalis being a 3rd or even 2nd stringer if we have a decent running game.

BRING IN DART!

But in all seriousness, agree with you. Need another QB for depth.

See. It was obvious that he was coming to WSU. The only reason why he might not have is getting NIL money at Ole Miss.

1. Eric Morris his HC, that he loved was OC at WSU.

2. WSU because of #1 above had same offense.

3. Eric Morris can turn him into a Pat Maholmes.

4. He will be the starter sans, barring injury

5. Greater chance of making NFL

6. He will probably lead the nation in passing at WSU.

7. Those things probably wouldn't happen for him at Ole Miss, etc.

8. And 247 had him going to WSU

9. And another recruiting site had him crystal balled to WSU.

Only monkey wrench in all of that was the NIL money question if he would take the NIL money at Ole Miss over the better fit at WSU.

Also Dickert, Morris are better energy, personality, charm, etc, recruiters then what at Ole Miss, etc.

That why I said there was about a 85% chance to go to WSU.

Never a doubt that he was going to WSU.

Would have been shocked if didn't go to WSU.

And once his mother started following WSU coaches, and all the other little clues all combined together, it became so obvious that WARD was going to WSU.

Too much uncalled for handwringing.

But in all seriousness, agree with you. Need another QB for depth.

1. Dart wouldnt come here now that Ward here.

2. Dart can start at many other P5's

3. Dart might(unlikely) be better then Ward, and because of that Ward might decommit, if WSU goes after Dart

It's better to go after somebody like the Buffalo grad transfer QB, that WSU is following, or someone that can be a ok #2 at best. Because Ward is the starter. And only need a #2, and Gabalis,Xavier Ward, can be semi serviceable, semi ok #2, #3's, an or have potential to develop into such by the 1st game of next season.

So WSU needs to grab a preferred Walk On QB, and probably another Transfer QB, that not a Dart, etc.

Yep. He is. I’m going from the voicemail I received from the school, though. It may have changed again. Confirming with him now.

Edit: confirmed for Wednesday
Daughter told me this morning it's still Wednesday. Snoqualmie, Blewitt and White are back open now. Stevens closed till Wednesday.

With Ward here, my Dart comment was in jest.

“The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of West Columbia, Texas, will have three years of eligibility at WSU. Ward passed for 4,648 yards on a 65% completion rate last season and led the FCS in passing TDs with 47.” - Spokesman Review

Not just great news, but super important to the program and to Dickert’s future, frankly.
The big question is he on a one year contract and is he a free agent after next year?

Could you imagine how well Price would have thrived in the system? "Hey we just lost Bledsoe a year early and projected to be the first pick in the draft. We have a great returning defense and the one position we need to fill is QB. I can get you to the NFL."

He’d lose a year of eligibility if he transfers again

I could see a strategy that kids that want the money will take a lesser school off the bat so they can play early and showcase their talents at the college level and start a bidding war when they move up the food chain in the transfer portal.

There are risks, but bound to be somebody who tries that.

Yea, it’s much more restrictive after you’ve transferred once.

Price wouldn't even take on Brad Otton (whose dad once coached in Colfax) to avoid offending the Leaf brat.

Orton got SC to RB and WSU now facing his nephews

Good tradeoff. I never thought I would ever sit in the Rose Bowl watching my beloved Cougars on the field. The Leaf brat made that possible.

Glad Cougar
