This is regarding OSU's athletic budget. They are running a deficit more than some lower BCS schools spend in their entire budget. Here is the link below.

The Columbus Dispatch reported Monday that Ohio State operated with a whopping $38 million deficit for fiscal year 2024. The school apparently spent $292.7 million total between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 while experiencing a drop in revenue - $24.9 million less than the previous year to be exact.

The football powers went after the playoffs and now the SEC and Big Ten control all the money. They are also trying to do the same with the NCAA basketball tournaments. They want the money. If they are successful, it won't be long until they destroy basketball like they have done with football.

Let it all burn 🔥 down at this point. IDGAF anymore.

I like Rogers attitude and hope he finds successs here but my heart just isn’t in it. I’ll always root for the Cougs for some masochistic reason I can’t justify but I spend my time outdoors now and of course bantering with you fools😎

I’m not sure basketball can be destroyed in the same way though. March madness rules all, when the Cougs aren’t good I could care less about basketball until the tourney starts then I enjoy it. Why? Because a team full of lightly recruited unathletic kids can go 20-30 from 3 and take out a Kansas or North Carolina. There’s enough first round games it’s just a matter of when. And there’s enough brackets we seem to always get that team that gets to the s16 or e8.

There’s no 3 point line in football. The team with the OLine that averages 270 is going to get manhandled.

My problem is I like football way more than basketball 🤷

The SEC and Big Ten have it rigged where they get more teams in the football playoffs and are trying to get even more. If they take over basketball, you won't see those types of upsets happening as much because what we would get is more SEC and Big Ten schools in the tournament at the expense of teams from the lower conferences.

I hope not. That’s what’s fun about the tournament is the mid majors making noise. Who TF wants to or cares about seeing another 15-13 big 10 or SEC team.

Staggering numbers. And this does not include their $20M NIL FB roster, correct? And Gawd knows how many millions for BB, etc?

It is incredible that these F-ers are literally swimming in money and are still losing their asses! And here the have nots (us, etc) are sitting here wondering if our media contract will be $10M or $12M........
