Is what I would have expected in year one of Kent, But glad that he got it together reminds me a bit of Rav it took him a while to learn how to coach.

Rav and Kent are different situations. Rav was a young inexperienced coach who had a lot to learn. However he was able to recruit kids that couldnt make it in now. Still it took him 4 years to get the players. Kent made bad hires that killed his recruiting for 2 years. End result is similar as he finally has a decent amount of young talent.

What? End result is similar?
Raveling year 4 - 19-7, 9-5
Raveling year 5 - 19-8, 8-6

Kent year 4 - 12-19, 4-14
Kent year 5 so far - 10-15, 3-9

I simply do not understand your point(s). And I know you know 50 times more basketball than I do. And whatever recruiting rules were in place for George were in place for everyone. And I bet Terry Kelly, Edgar Jeffries and Steve Puidokas would "make it in" today.

Don Collins and Stu House, maybe not so much...….

Rav was successful sooner. However that 4th year team had only Poudakis and Jeffries of the examples you mentioned Norton Barnhill was a key player on that team, along with a couple of JC kids.
