I don't know. But, I would assume that coming off a 3-9 season, the defensive JC's are being brought in to play now. The offense will be good next season. If the defense can improve just a little, this team will be going bowling.Originally posted by BraindeadCoug:
Plus the corner who committed yesterday is also from Riverside City College.
Does anyone know if any of these kids have a redshirt available or are they all 2 to play 2 guys?
Thanks
I reported the news from a source, so I haven't been able to talk to any of them yet, but I believe they'll sign on Dec. 17. I typically don't call recruits until their visits are over so I'll have more from them when they get home tomorrow afternoon.Originally posted by cr8zyncalif:
Britton, do you know if any of these kids will be able to transfer in time for spring ball?
Agreed. These kids need to immediately crack the 2-deep and contribute on special teams right out of the chute.Originally posted by BiggsCoug:
If these kids can't come in and play right away, they got the wrong guys. Jc kids aren't coming to a 3 win team with a lousy defense to redshirt.

That would be ideal, obviously, but I don't think the standard should be starter or bust necessarily. JC kids can also be brought in to add immediate help on the depth chart. For example, if you have a couple of solid defensive ends or cornerbacks starting, but nothing behind them, JC kids can fill gaps and add immediate help to your special teams.Originally posted by chinookpirate:
If we're gonna go the JC route, most of hem better be starters or we're spinning our wheels.
