They all finished their careers at other schools besides WSU?

I believe all of them played HS basketball in the Phoenix area. Yes, all finished their basketball careers elsewhere - although Que did graduate from WSU.

By the way, I saw that Billy Joe Rhymes passed away about 10 years ago - still in his 40's. He had a daughter who played D-1 basketball.

Pay the men. Good job. Also, I believe they are the only Phoenix area prep players that have come to WSU in hoops.

I always thought Redding was from Ohio. Sure enough, he grew up and prepped in Cleveland until his senior year before transferring to Westwind Prep in Phoenix. That's also where Que Johnson ended up after growing up in Michigan. Witheril, Woolridge, and Rhymes all grew up in Arizona.

I think you are right, Bob. Those are the only WSU players to have an Arizona prep connection. We might have brought in some JCs from Arizona...maybe one of those big stiffs Paul Graham recruited?....but I can't recall. Nate Erdman was from neighboring New Mexico.

Ron Davis (terrific player) played both high school and jc basketball in the Phoenix area before coming to WSU.

You are right about Ron Davis. I thought he was out of Glendale JC, but didnt know where he prepped.
