If de Laura and the cats play next week like they did tonight….our chances are slim.

Hoping he continues to be unable to string together good games.

It’s important to remember that this was a trap game for UCLA. They were 100% looking ahead to USC and could have been up by 10 points despite playing so poorly early.

Arizona is who they are. Their defense is terrible and their offense is pretty decent. I’m worried about the game because de Laura shredded UCLA when he had time in the pocket. I’m hopeful because bad de Laura is always lurking and if we can pressure him, that guy will show up.

If our team comes out wanting to punish him for leaving us the way that he did, I like our chances.

It’s hard to get sky high for games every week. Arizona at Noon local time will be a challenge for them in some ways.

On the other hand, we’re going to be be playing in 85+ degree weather the week after playing in one of the coldest games in years. That will be challenging for us.

Their defense played well tonight. DTR didn’t have much time to throw, and couldn’t get room to run either. And UCLA’s OL is much better than ours…especially with Kingston gone, and if Fifita is down too.
UCLA’s decision to only rush 2-3 didn’t work. They made JDL scramble a lot, but couldn’t put him on the ground. He was able to escape long enough - consistently - to get a receiver open. Our DL is going to have to bring their A game, and we have to get pressure from the edges. UCLA was getting it up the middle and letting JDL move outside. We can’t do that…because UCLA’s secondary is also better than ours.
