Cougs are looking great so far. 27-6 with 8:39 on clock in the first half.

It's now 37-7 with about 6 minutes left in the half.

Haven’t watched much so far this year but tuned in for this. Man they look great. Team could be sneaky good this year. UCR took UCLA down to the wire.

At the half, it is 46 -22. UC Riverside hit a three pointer at the buzzer from almost half court. I don't think it should have counted, as he didn't call a bank shot before it left his hands. A lot of players have gotten playing time.

I am sure this is probably the best they looked this season. But they do look good. Good ball movement. Great rebounding. Tough defense. It has been fun to watch.

Deep bench. Bunch of shooters. Big guys can handle it and they play sound defense. Kyle Smith just keeps reloading and getting the most out of his kids. Really a phenomenal coach for this era of college sports. He seems to find these guys everywhere.

Deep is right. This doesn't even include point guard Joseph Yesufu who is injured and not suited up. Nine players have already played.

I just had to post the current score, 70-29. A 41 point lead.

Obviously some great games by certain individual players but I was impressed with Houinsou 5 assists 0 turnovers.

Only six turnovers by the team tonight. You don't give the ball away, good things happen. They were also very unselfish with 20 assists.

Because UCLA only won by 1 point at the last second vs UCR, and because WSU beat UCR by 37, and because WSU has beaten good teams like PSU, Rhode Island, etc, and 7-1, etc, then WSU is at least equal to UCLA.

WSU going to be 10-1, 9-2 in noncon.

And 10-10, 11-9, 12-8, 13-7 in conference.

Tied for 4th, at best alone in 5,6,7th place in conference at worst

And by tournament time will have about 18,19,20,21,22,23 wins, and 1,2 PAC tourny wins, NIT final 8/NCAA bubble in, 2nd round finish. After post season over WSU have about 22,23,24,25,26 total wins.

Kyle Smith has always done a awesome job recruiting, getting 3 stars, 3.5 stars, 4 stars, 4.5 stars.

There is a recruiting article on WW front page that surprisingly not behind a paywall, that talked about WSU being in top final 6 for a 4 Star 6-2,6-3,6-4 combo PG, SG, that has some big time offers. Cal is the early favorite, but even if WSU doesn't get him, WSU just being in on him, and WSU Smith continuing to be in on players over and over, will eventually lead to WSU, Smith getting another 4 star eventually.

Just a matter of time, numbers, just like before, just like Smith has always done.

What's even more amazing, is that with what's happening to WSU, I thought recruiting would suffer, but Smith is still recruiting AWESOMELY DESPITE the crap WSU go through.

Smith has got to be the most challenged, best recruiter in WSU history.

And not only recruiting. I don't know of any WSU coach other then maybe Raveling, Bennet who could do as good as Smith Despite all the LOTS OF SHIT, that Smith has to deal with year in, year out.

Also WSU is CLIMBING the NET and Ken Pom ratings.

WSU is rated #28 in NET rankings, and #60 in Ken Pom.

Ah shit Mik you did this before the UCLA football game! They look good so far but a result last night and what that team did against UCLA is useless in predicting the future. I’m more excited about the clean basketball. It’s tough to have that kind of turnover assist ratio against air, let alone another college team. Multiple guys who can shoot the lights out and bigs who can handle and also step back is a good sign. Solid defense and rebounding usually doesn’t take nights off even when shooting goes cold. This team looks pretty complete, and you don’t have that physical freak like Bamba who everyone stands around and watches when things get tough offensively. Rice can do it all and I think adds a fluidity to the offense that wasn’t there with Bamba.

It's been a bit since we had two big men (Jones and Cluff) with elite post moves. Then throw in a raw but athletic Cheneleyu and we have something!

I only saw portions of the game, but Chinyelu's footwork has already seemed to improve. He had a nice jump hook in the lane that was impressive.

The best Wells has looked. Hit a couple deep 3s when I was able to watch.

I like the way we are playing right now and Yesufu has yet to really hit his stride which I think is still going to happen. I wouldn’t read to much into us beating a team soundly that UCLA barely beat considering we beat EWU by 10 that 3 other PAC12 teams beat them by over 25
Also Rhode Island has lost 2 straight including last night to 3-8 Brown

Except of Arizona we seem to have the best Net Rating in the Pac-12. Why is that? Our pre-season schedult hasn't been loaded with tough opponents.
