Las Vegas oddsmakers have installed the bruins as 23.5 favorites over the cougs tonight.

Surprised UCLA didn't cover. They're playing for a 1 seed.
They were without TJ Leaf and you never know how senior is going to go. I thought we did a nice job for the most part. I agreed with Kent on missing '20 open shots'. Maybe it wasn't that many but it was a lot and they were mostly good shots. Ike and Flynn were just off a lot of the night.

Solid effort, played smart, but a loss.

I did not see the game. However,it sounds like it was a very solid effort. I hope that the cougs can spring an upset or two in the Tournament.Colorado is up next and they have a good chance to win the first game.

No question the vast majority of the threes we missed were great looks. We kept the turnovers down, kept UCLA off the offensive boards, and had a good defensive effort. UCLA had an off night and the upset was there for the taking had we knocked down a few open looks.

A very Wulffian 14-40 stretch under EK.

The shots were there ,but one has to knock them down. I applaud the cougs efforts. They were up with about 10 minutes to go. Flynn is looking like a freshman. Perhaps he will wake up in the Tournament?

Flynn has probably hit that freshman wall. No shame it that, it happens to good ones. Klay went through the same thing. One of the reasons we were one and done in the NIT that year.

What is surprising is Flynn s inability during the last few games to hit the 3 pt shot. He is usually an amazing shooter and next year he will convert the 3 pointers.I really think that if CK can recruit a couple of more good big men ,that the cougs will have an improved team. I now that goes against the conventional wisdom of the big loss of three senior players. We shall see what CK does with the three remaining scholarships.

No legs and probably mentally drained. Killer to end this season but he seems pretty tough. It will make him better next season.

More shooters, more depth, more athleticism. Not a formula for a big drop off in my book. We got taken to the woodshed in almost half our losses even with the seniors.

I hope we will have more of all those things but other than Aquuah it will be tough, and can we really excpect new comers to replace the output of the four seniors? My hope for next year would be to see solid improvement throughout the year culminated with a late year run to show we are competitive. Actually very similar to this year with the exception of most of the fire
Power coming from under classmen. Flynn and Pollard's junior year I believe could be Kents true breakout year.

Hinson also appears to be a scorer. He, along with Flynn Acquaah and Daniels should help our offense in the backcourt. A lot depends on Franks continued development. I know he will probably never be as good as I hope, but I think he will be a lot better than many expect. Also, Chidum could be a wild card. Havent seen him in a game situation but he appears pretty skilled at 6-8.

If Cooper delivers even respectable defense and rebounding it will make us better at the 5 spot. Overall I expect us to be a better rebounding team even with the loss of Hawkinson. Franks is much better on the boards than many people notice, Cooper should be much better on the boards tha Clifford.

Not bad mouthing any of the seniors. They played hard every game and all showed flashes of brilliance. However, other than Hawk there wasnt a lot of consistency game to game.

Hinson seems like he can shoot and has some bounce and hopefully Acquaah can provide another point guard that can score and compliment Flynn. I just don't see Daniels as a Pac 12 starter but he's at least developing into a decent rotation guy. Hopefully they can pick up another solid guard in the spring.

Cooper looks like a decent replacement for Clifford. Better athlete although he's not exactly a quick big but has some touch.

Franks continues to intrigue. He can hit the 3, block some shots, will continue to improve on the boards, and obviously has good skills. He's not the best athlete, needs to get stronger, and he's still too timid. We really need a big or two that can compete next year.

Hinson will probably help but he would have to match his JC output in order to replace Ike. PAC 12 basketball is a huge step up from JC ball at any level. Callison took a year but had a very solid senior season becoming Kents best JC recruit thus far. I'm also intrigued by Chidum and interested to see how a year in the weight room will elevate his game. I go back and forth on Franks, he looks good then bad then good again. I don't see him ever being a star in this league but with continued improvement and a little consistency he can definetly be a serviceable starter. Daniels I like but I doubt he'll ever be much more than a role player. I see him as being similar to Boese, if his shot falls he will see increased time if the shot doesn't fall he could see diminished time. His defense will always keep him at least in the rotation some where. Pollard is the player I think will have a breakout year next year. I like his energy, his footwork and strength. All of which was impressive for a freshmen recovering from mono. Everything looked great on his post up moves until he would miss the shot ala Jordon Riely.

Big step for JCs but I would rather it was coming from a program like Tyler that has multiple D-1 players in the program. No question it's a huge step up in talent though.

Agree on Franks and Daniels. Chidom is simply thin but has skill. I wonder where he plays? On the wing or as a stretch 4?

Pollard missed quite a few bunnies but would think he will improve. Would really like to see him get that little hook to fall consistently.

There is hope and the players will really have to work hard in the weight room. Flynn especially needs to work hard. He does not have to gain weight but work on explosiveness, flexibility, and strength to become a better athlete. The same goes for the rest of the players.

Speaking of Pollard ,i have always loved the kid's game. One does not appreciate a player like Pollard until you have such a player on your team .He is athletic and a total team player. There are not a lot like him in today's game.
