Washington State is the latest offer for Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy 2018 OL Will Lawrence, he announced today. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive tackle prospect also holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and many others.
Lawrence says he's been in contact with Mike Leach and Clay McGuire multiple times this week. His father, Tom, reached out to share an interesting nugget on his son's recruitment and their admiration for Leach and the Air Raid offense, among other things.
"I have followed Coach Leach for many years and think a lot of his approach to offense," Lawrence's father said. "Also, Will really wants to play in a passing offense. We have vacationed some in that part of the country and love it, so I think WSU could be a school that he gives real consideration to down the road."
