Despite having one running back in this class, transfers and an injury to James Williams have the Cougars in a position to take another running back in this class. Washington State would love to land Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County running back Sihiem King, though West Virginia appears to be the favorite right now.
While King has an offer and an official visit lined up to Washington State on January 23, he's still considered a West Virginia lean at this point. He visits Wake Forest this weekend followed by the trip to WSU and lastly a trip to WVU on January 30.
So, who is a potential backup plan for the Cougars at running back should King pick WVU or Wake Forest?
It could be Chattanooga (Tenn.) Notre Dame running back Auston Banks, who says the WSU staff has been in regular contact with him and should King decide to commit elsewhere, he would jump on to their radar, according to our SMU site. Banks holds an offer from SMU.
