Elleby had a tough first game against UA and Miller didn't play. Tough environment obviously but you know we will be prepared and play hard on both ends. That and keeping the turnovers down gives you a shot.

ASU is probably a better matchup for us.

I can't think of a worse match up for us in conference. They have more length and athleticism than us. Unlike UW they take enough pride in the details to beat teams they are should. Smith will need to devise a brilliant game plan and we'll need one of our best shooting nights of the year to win this one.

Stanford seems to be our worst matchup even though they aren't as good as ASU and UA (despite beating them both this past weekend). If there's one team in the tournament I would want to avoid in game #1, it's the Cardinal.

Zona has way more talent, Pollard our and Elleby in foul trouble but Cougs lead at halftime. Love the fight in these boys.

Well, that sort of got out of control. A 26-0 run will do that to you. If you just looked at the final score, you'd be shocked to learn that WSU had a 6-point halftime lead. Lots of poor play from just about everyone. Elleby disappeared (again) and Bonton was his at his out-of-control best, just 1 assist and 8 turnovers! He did shoot free throws well, again. But when Markovetskyy is your leading assist guy for the game (2), you know you haven't played well offensively. I don't expect a win in Tempe, but I'm hoping for a little more composure. That's where Pollard could've helped tonight.

Elleby disappears when he is double teamed which good teams do to him. Not quite enough fire power surrounding him.
