Perhaps the biggest thing today is the team keeping their emotions under control. They're going to see something they've never seen in Beasley plus Klay is probably an idol to many of them.

Should be a great atmosphere hopefully filled to the rafters. Starting to get the students back into it in year 1 would be great.

From a former dog's twitter but pretty impressive setup.

Everything good right now. Bonton had one of the best games of any Coug in a long time...not that far off a triple double. But it was really great team ball today. And doing it all in front of the Splash Brothers makes it even better. So impressed with the job Smith is doing with this team, and the players deserve a huge portion of the credit.

Glad Cougar

Bonton, Elleby, and Williams had great games. Great week of games and really showed off WSU well. Smith has done a really nice job year 1!

DJ Rodman played really well too. Doesn't fill the stat sheet yet, but is a tenacious defender who gets hustle boards. Also a threat from 3.

Definitely agree. He's one of our best shooters. He had a few more open looks but opted to not shoot early in the shot clock. He's had good minutes the last handful of games. We missed Cannon early with Thompson able to easily score. Inserting Rodman helped the defense.

Don't know which thread to post this so guess this is as good as any. The place was electric. Announced attendance was 10,380 but there weren't that many. Quite a few empty seats in upper bowl. Still a huge crowd. What a great game to watch. If this game doesn't put butts in the seats I don't know what will. This team plays so damn hard the whole game. Bonton, Elleby, Williams, Rodman and Pollard all had great games but Oregon State knows damn well that the others, Robinson, Kunc and Rapp were out there. They locked them down on D.

Paying off the Oregon win with another today with such a big event as well is huge. We have always depended on the students to create a tough environment. Hopefully this will become a thing and continue. Players really deserve it with the way they played and this week probably opened some doors with recruits. It would be great to get Miller and Cannon healthy. Sounds like Kunc and Rapp are playing injured as well.

Really a special week for Cougar athletics. It would be nice if the women could end it with an upset against ASU.

Shooting comes and goes, defense is there every game, Williams, frankly our stopper already, is upon whom what this team will be built. He is like Kyle Weaver revisted, IMHO. If you must have a stop, who else do you call upon, and he is a true freshman. People forget that the Big Guy, his dad, got his lofty rep, because he had zero wholes in his game, leading the team not only in scoring but in rebounding, blocks and steals.

The upper bowl empty seats were listed as obstructed view on the ticket site. The banners block the view of the scoreboard. I think the announced attendance was actually pretty close to what was there for once.

Hope everyone comes back for more games. That was a lot of fun.

I was really expecting stupid fouls, especially by the freshmen, trying to do too much etc. but the team was incredibly composed. No one in foul trouble, 8 turnovers!, 90% plus on FTs. etc. Smith has these guys playing to full potential+ as a team. Bonton was unbelievable including the near half courter at the half and a few shots I cringed at that went in. The basketball gods were looking down on Pullman yesterday.

Couldn't have said it better.
