I think we saw this the previous week and if it didn't turn around.....7 wins will be a successful season. Is Eric Morris in his headset??
The bubble screen is WAY overused by WSU. Teams know it coming & often. No imagination in the play calling. But when you can’t run, at all, whatcha gonna do??
When the OL gives you two seconds, what plays do you run?
Well for one, that little circle route over the middle to Watson worked nice a few times.
I realize the line is an issue. Why were we able to throw vertically in our wins?

Draw run game should be a staple package in air raid scheme. It’s not. It’s a bunch of former wide receivers and qbs calling plays.

As I posted before, I think it was a mistake to go away from the run and shoot and hire Morris and McGuire and go the air raid route.
Could be. The list of run and shoot coaches is pretty short. It isn’t as easy as just finding another run and shoot coach without connections to the last staff.
McGuire should be running alongside a garbage truck. With stupidgibbons driving it.
Yeah that is exactly the issue. I read an article where apparently it is much easier to install the air raid than the run and shoot...and you have a lot of air raid at the high school level now too
It is a dying offense. Guys haven't come up in it and they aren't seeking it out to run it.

Stupidgibbons never even played football. He and McGuire starred in the movie Men at Work.
I feel like the shotgun has a lot of limitations in terms of misdirection. Going from under center, or even the pistol, gives a lot more play action and draw options that flow more effectively and seem like they'd be more convincing to a defense. But yes, rush 3 drop 8 solves the Air Raid, especially if your 3 can beat their 5.
Take away the tunnel screen and its over. Ask Lake and Wilcox.
Air raid should be paired with pistol run game.
