It seems like WSU is locked into a shoe contract with Nike,not Adidas. The cougs get 2 million per year,.$200,000 cash and a 2 million apparel allowance. It seems like UCLA recently signed a 19 million dollar annual deal with Armour. The cougs are locked into this contract for about 9 more years.They are way behind other PAC 12 Schools and other universities of similar size.It seems that udub was currently negotiating with Adidas and Armour for anew contract.There are huge bucks associated with these companies and Universities.

I just read where Pitino got 98% of the 160 million ten year Adidas Shoe contract. What a pile of crap . I cannot believe that Louisville agreed to the contract. No wonder the AD s daughter landed a lucrative job with the company No wonder he refused to fire the coach.. I wonder of he receive kickbacks too? it is a sordid mess and the shoe contracts of all the big name schools and coaches need to thoroughly scrutinized.I cannot believe that UCLA s contract did not even register a blip among st fans,

Dollars are much bigger now, but the contracts go as far back as Sampson and maybe Raveling. Coaches always got the bulk of the money

Vaccarro started this a long time ago. He talked about Lute Olson at Iowa on ESPN.

I'm sure Pitino would have received a huge cut but the 98% deal was under the current contract. Sounds like he was getting $1.5M a year. Their new $160 million 10 year deal doesn't begin until next year.

So 1.5 million for "letting" Louisville [layers wear Adidas apparell;. that is insanity. The bulk of the money needs to go the University. The NCAA should put a cap on how much a University lets a coach receives. The current system just reeks of reasons for fraud and influence peddling Blow the system up and start all over again is my opinion

I see where Louisville suspended both Coaches Kenny Johnson and Jordan Fiar.. The only coach left is acting head Coach Padgett. I can guarantee that they will not fall on the sword for Pitino. The coaches like Calipari are trying to act like it is the players fault The reform needs to take dead aim at the coaches .. The FBI and the NCAA should look into the shoe contracts and what the coaches are getting out of theses contracts. It is BS that coaches get the bulk of the money.

I think it started back when even high Level schools werent paying multi million dollar salaries. Nothing really under the table back then. Just a way to get coaches a little supplemental income and it was advertising for the company. As with every thing else, when the money started to get big the sordid side of recruiting, which always existed, got intertwined.

I see where the NCAA formed a committee headed by Candoliza Rice to come up with ideas to correct what is wrong with college basketball. One of the members is the AD at UCLA. They just signed a shoe contract worth 19 million dollars. To me,that is like asking the fox to guard the hen house. The NCAA made a mockery of college basketball by not penalizing North Carolina for a decade of educational fraud and abuse. Essentially,NC made millions by not educating its athletes and they can ride laughing into the sunset.One hopes that the FBI s involvement makes a difference in the current scandal . Many people want to make it a "black assistant coaches scandal" and allow the fat cats to watch with amusement as the schools and head coaches go Scot free.The Roy Williams and the head coaches at major universities need to be brought before the public eye,be heavily fined and get some jail time for this facade to stop.
