WBB: 2 2023 Big commits

One is Bella. At Pac 12 media day, she announced she plans to return next season. I'm hoping Teder does the same. I think they both have a lot of upside left to reach.

In actual recruiting news, Alex Covill committed on the 20th. She's a 6'7" post from Missoula MT. I believe both her parents went to Montana (Dad was an assistant until the last coaching change).

A Griz site posed her other finalist were Utah, Boise, and Montana State. GU and other Pac 12 schools came in late. She was “low key” on recruiting (Mom's tweet below). Seems to run well for her length, has some touch, good fundamentals (keeps ball high). Good get for Kamie!

Have to think it will take some time to adjust. She always had a huge height advantage. In the Pac 12 there’s a lot of length. Good package to work with though. .

I think the staff continues to recruit better each year. Probably not a CL-W type talent but more class balance. Excited to see what this year’s class can do. I really liked Eklöf’s video. Seemed to play fast and shoot it well.

With players that tall, it depends on how strong and coordinated they are, and if they can move at all. I have never seen her play, so speaking generally, she can come in and get stronger and that will help with her coordination. If she can move, she can be helpful on defense right away.

My daughter played against Jenna's Arlington team when Jenna was a freshman. The kid reminds me of Maxwell out of gig harbor. really good shooter. Not sure how quick she is to get to the hole, but she has good length.

My daughters AAU coach talked about a really under the radar Coug he really liked. Kyra Gardner. Said she is ultra athletic. He was really impressed with her game.

Both Smith and Kammie are relentless recruiters.
