After letting a 1st quarter lead slip, Coug's pretty much controlled the game. I think they had a total of 27-0 run at the start of each quarter. I don't think I have seen that before. One quarter it was Teder for 7 to open the quarter, another quarter it was Bella for 6 to open the quarter. CL-W is still struggling shooting, but played good defense and does a good job setting up others. She also scored late to basically seal the game. Teder, Bella, and Ula had really good games.

Oregon had a NET 21, so a really good win for us. As long as we don't totally faceplant the last 3 games we are pretty safe to get to the Tournament 3 straight years.

Kami's done a fantastic job. She's easily the best hoops coach we have seen in Pullman since Tony & Dick IMO.

Hard to believe it's already senior day. following along with the beaver game.

Even though the Oregon teams are having down years, sweeping both of them would be a huge achievement.

Coach E is such a good coach

Kami is. But considering the list of coaches are Sherri Murrell, June Daugherty, Ken Bone, Ernie Kent, and Kyle Smith, it is not saying much. In order I would have 1) Ethridge, 2) Smith, 3) Daugherty, 4) Bone, 5) Murrell, and 6) Kent.

True. I did say since, but I think what she's done in 5 years is comparable to Dick/Tony's 6 years.

Tony was able to get Tournament wins including reaching a Sweet 16. However, possibly getting to 3 straight Tournaments in this conference is pretty impressive. We basically had zero program history before Kami. With a couple super seniors plus CL-W back, recruiting improving, she has a shot to surpass where Dick/Tony had us before Tony left for UVA.

Keep Kami happy please. She's got thing rolling.

She has made WSU women's basketball relevant. That is amazing. I thought JD would do that when she was hired, but she could do no better than 7th in the conference and the best conference record was 9-9.

Honestly, I was worried about Coach Etheridge after the first two season. But she is the real deal. I am curious to see how she does once CLW is gone. It is my opinion that CLW is the most impactful male or female basketball player in WSU history.

By the way, another nice win against OSU. The OSU women's team is like our men's basketball team, they are better than their record. WSU controlled the entire game, but never could quite pull away. OSU has become a recruiting monster. They have two freshmen five star players that are as good as advertised,

I will say go ahead and throw Coach E in the Convo of best coaches we've ever had ..not just basketball.

Too bad Chanelle and Bobi weren't born a few years later

JD could recruit but we didn't have the culture of defense and toughness.

I would be fine to put off finding out what life is like without CL-W for 2 more years. I do think we are starting to get the kind of talent/development that can absorb losing her even if she doesn't come back for a COVID year. Tuhina's been as good if not better than advertised. Wallack seems to just be starting to come into her own. Kyra Gardner looks like the real deal in time and there's a lot of expectations for Jenna Villa coming in next year.

We might not see another CL-W, but better balance and depth could keep us heading in the right direction. Sooner or later, I also think Kami will bring in a 5-star plus there's another Leger-Walker out there as well.

Also the development of Bella is extremely impressive. Went from an awkward post to a kid who can score the ball in a variety of ways from the ft line on in

Bella's last 4 games have been a bit different. She seems to have the mentality of getting a double-double every game and played more consistently. She can still get in trouble when she holds the ball too long but agree she's really developed over her 4 years. Glad she's coming back next year. If she can put it all together, we are a different team.

She really has grown a lot. I am glad she is coming back next season as well. With four starters coming back, next season looks to be a good season as well. They need to replace Motuga and there is not a like replacement on the roster, as she is the only forward on the roster and the three recruits are two centers and a guard. Incoming center, Candace Kpetikou, even has a lot of similarities to Bela growing up in Africa before moving to the states.

brandx thinks Wallack takes Ula's spot. Basically would mean Tuhina steps into the lineup and they go "small". Wallack's actually taller than Ula. I really like Wallack as a guard because she creates mismatches. Like you said though we really don't have other forwards on the roster although Glazier probably ends up a 4. She could be a taller version of Ula with the ability to hit a 3.

Ethridge compared Kpetikou to Bella. They look pretty similar in terms of their game and length. Hoping she's a bit further along but we have good depth at the 5 w/ Bella and Clarke.

I think that probably makes the most sense. It is not the first time that a team has gone to a four-guard lineup. Wallack is averaging 5.2 rebounds per game to Motuga's 5.7. Wallack can guard 1-4, so I think she can handle it. The team has lacked depth the last few years. I think next season should be the deepest team since Ethridge has been here. I am also looking forward to seeing the few minutes that 6'6" Covil plays on defense.

Agree on depth. We should have an actual bench next season. Clarke, Gardner, Glazier and hopefully Eklöf and Villa. Maybe they can get some minutes from the 2 frosh bigs.

Would really like to see CL-W’s huge per game minutes come down.
