Subasic Grad Transferring for her final year. The poster on brandx mentioned Oregon State being the likely destination. Interesting if that's where she lands.

It is too bad that she feels she wants to leave. But, she is not going to make or break this upcoming season. I do wish her well where ever she ends up.

Subasic to OSU. A post on brandx indicated the staff told her she wasn't in their plans or something. I have to wonder if the same was told to Muzet. While I get these things happen when there is a coaching change, probably the importance of playing younger players, I think it's a risk. Especially if a team we are looking up at seems to think she has a role with their program.

This staff continues to amaze me. WBB is in shambles with error after error. If you can play at OSU even as depth you need to be considered. Not at all impressed with recruiting and/or retention of players.

This is pretty brutal. The lost production from last year is huge. I still consider Muzet the third best player off of last year. There has seemed to be a fit issue with the Daugherty recruits and the way Kami wants to play but until they get better players it seems like a pretty awful idea to show anyone the door.

I read that story over on BrandX as well. OSU is much better than WSU. They can use her but WSU cannot? Last two years, 4-14 in conference and 9-21 overalI, then 4-14 and 11-20. I guess the Cougars are starting a rebuild?

The hire sure looks good on paper and hopefully it works itself out for the best, but so far mildly impressed with the recruiting, not impressed with retentions and not impressed in the least with the actual coaching. Still early in Kami’s tenure But we were less than impressive with arguably two of the programs best all time players.

That is what is hard to fathom. Perhaps two of the best all time players and they were horrible. The recruiting has not been good and without good players, the program is only going to go one way, down.

Plus, it is behind the pay wall at BrandX, so I won't write any details here. But, BX added to the story and the coaching staff bungled the Subasic situation more than we had known.

Not sure why the Ethridge train wreck is a surprise to anyone on this board. She got the ELC kiss of death endorsement.

Haha. I was thinking the same thing but couldn't remember the numbskull's handle. Subasic and Muzet are definite losses from an experience standpoint and I hate to lose them because of the time and effort they put into the team, if for no other reason. However, IMO neither is capable of taking a team to a higher level. The team is not bereft of talent. Hopefully Jones and Nankervis will have a full season. Sarver is a real talent. She and Cherilyn Molina have the talent to take over the point. Levy and Motuga are experienced starters. Hopefully the Leger-Walker sisters will live up to the hype. Most important of all is Murekatete. She has a ton of upside if Ethridge can get it out of her.

In any case this is completely Ethridge's team now. She has no excuses. She needs to show a lot of improvement this year and next. If not she's just another bust WBB coach.

Cannon's somewhat comparable on the men's side to Muzet and Subasic. He wasn't a player that was going to take us to a higher level but if there isn't already players like Noah Williams and DJ Rodman on the roster, TJ Bamba coming in and they don't follow up his transfer by signing Rosario and Jakimovski his force out looks a bit different to me.

The roster has some talent. Murekatete's a key and Charlisse Leger-Walker is up there as well. Motuga's a glue player. I like a lot of the players you mentioned but I'm not sure they are exactly game changers and PG is a bit of a concern. We need Molina to take the next step. She has the talent and I hope Teder can come in and help at the point as well.

I'm still struggling to see how we replace 70% of our offense lost from Molina, Hristova, Subasic, and Muzet. That probably goes beyond this year but as big a challenge as it is to get recruits to Pullman basketball is pretty simple. If Ethridge can sign a "game changer" type in the next class at any position to go along with what we have it could turn things quickly.

I agree that Subasic and Muzet are not huge from a talent standpoint. They are decent players that are power conference players, but not difference makers. What I am worried is that the team takes a step back and it hurts recruiting even further.

I haven't given up on Ethridge. The team could even have the same record, but show promise like the Price teams used to do, then I am fine with that. But, she needs to start showing something soon.
