Jones is a 5'10 guard from Nebraska HS. She averaged 21.4 pts and 9.4 rbs per game in Nebrsaka class B basketball She originally committed to Northern Colorado but recently asked for a release and it was granted. She is an aggressive player who has the type of game which will succeed in D 1 ball. She had a medical condition with a muscle problem which was corrected and she has returned and is now well. She is a great addition to the team and was probably under recruited because of the medical problem.

Looks like she fits the model. Wondering if they will continue to add. They still have 4 to give.
They will have to fit the profile which the Coach wants in her players. I think that the WBB team will be a much improved team next year.

Looks like a good pickup at this late date. We shall see how well she does.. As we know, if these players don't pan out, they can be moved.

Also, not sure if this has been talked about before, but Coach Ethridge brought with her assistant Laurie Koehn. She played at Kansas State and in the WNBA. She looks impressive.

Ethridge seems to recruit players with a certain mentality as she said in her first press conference. Play hard, good IQ (from highlights so who knows), and shoot the 3. First highlight of Jones she knocks down about a 25 or 30 foot 3.
We will see how it works out but there's no doubt in my mind she is going to be true to her words in terms of the effort she will require from the players and understanding the game.
Would like to know the answer on the staff as well. Deb Patterson appears to have left UNC but no announcement so maybe not joining Ethridge? Koehn was prolific shooting the 3 while at K-State.

I don't see how her credentials stack up well at all against our previous Associate Head Coach.
