Sad that Chanelle's career was really cut short by the torn ACL her freshman year. She missed half that season and really wasn't fully back until last year. Molina I believe is the only 5 star recruit to ever play for WSU - in any sport.
Kamie is fortunate to have two seniors who are two of the better players to ever wear a Cougar uniform. Molina and Bobi are scoring about 60 percent of the teams points. The next couple years could be pretty grim for this team. I really don't see much Pac-12 level talent left on the roster other than a couple of decent projects in the post. Recruiting will have to amp up.
In 36 minutes against Cal Molina went for 28 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block on 1 turnover. She shot 75% from the field, 50% from 3. Monster game even though Cal wasn't the best competition. Hristova had a big game as well.Sad that Chanelle's career was really cut short by the torn ACL her freshman year. We will have Krystal Leger-Walker in the lineup next year.In 36 minutes against Cal Molina went for 28 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block on 1 turnover. I'm not sure where the production comes from when they leave as this year. Murekatete definitely looks like a good one down the line but right now I'm not seeing the guard talent although Muzet and Chrelyn Molina have improved this year and Sarver looks pretty good if she can stay healthy.
I think they only were able to sign a Canadian big in the fall. Agree recruiting is going to need to ramp up a lot to compete in this conference.
I believe Cherilyn was a 3-star recruit compared to Channelle being a 5-star so not sure where you are getting she was a higher rated recruit. More importantly than stars though she hasn't approached Channelle in terms of production on the court. I don't want to diminish Cherilyn because beyond the "big 2" she's really been one of the better players in the program this year and only a sophomore.Bella M is a great prospect. She needs a year to work on her conditioning and continue to adjust to D1 ball. They also have an Australian 6'3 big joining the team next year. Chanelle s sister was rated higher than her and may blossom next year. They really need a wing who can hit the outside shot and provide defense at that position.
I have seen Leger-Walker in some practice highlight clips and she looks like a good addition. She plays more like what Ethridge seems to want from the guards. When she signed I found some games of her playing with her younger sister Charlisse. Charlisse would be a big coup but also seems a bit out of our orbit at this point even with the potential draw of playing with her sister for a year.Leger -Walker will probably start at point guard - although it is possible that Cherilyn Molina starts also. She has a 17 year old sister in New Zealand who is considered the best young player in the country - class of 2020 with a ton of scholarship offers.
Regarding five star recruits, none of the football players mentioned were five stars because they were all pre internet when the star ranking started. Certainly never implied that Molina was the best recruit ever but she still remains the only five star to ever suit up for the Coug - looks like Rodman will be the next. The only five star football player we ever had was Terry Mixon and he was kicked off the team before he attended a class at WSU.
Channelle's the only source I recall.I do remember when she signed that Chanelle said that she was the best player in the family.

While it's inaccurate to say Cherilyn was rated higher than Channelle it really doesn't matter what their high school ranking was at this point. It only matters what they are doing on the court in college. It's borderline ridiculous to suggest Channelle is somehow holding back her little sister.
