WBB: WSU vs. #11 OSU

Subasic hit's 2 late 3rd quarter 3s and we took the lead but a 5-0 run but a 5-0 to end the quarter has OSU up 56-54.
Good stuff lately from the women with 4 players basically getting 35-40 minutes a game.

Final 69-76. Biggest play was on a free throw miss we couldn't clear the rebound and they end up hitting a 3. Defense really improved in this one and they seemed a lot more understanding. No doubt they played hard and pretty good basketball against a very good program.
Would have been a huge road win but off to Eugene.

They led the game with 3 minutes to play that was a tough loss . Molina continues to blossom under Coach Kami s coaching. The cougs wer off from 3 point land otherwise they should have won
That would have been a huge win. A split with the Oregon schools is still possible and would be huge but I would have liked to have the momentum of a big win behind us. Molina seems to be fully recovered and playing like she did as a freshman. She isn’t getting to the line as often as she did as a freshman but that could be just having a different role in a different system
Molina actually seems to be doing more than she was as a freshman. The rebounding has been really impressive for such a small guard. On the missed OSU free throw she tried to climb up a much taller player and just couldn’t quite hold on. Definitely seems back to form.
Overall they played a lot tougher and decisive on both ends. Hristova is still essentially playing the 4 as well. Molina doesn’t come off the floor and only moves off the point for a couple minutes. I think that also got to them a bit. Would have been huge to get a win in Corvallis and obviously they won’t get a brother heading to Eugene.
