KL-W in post-game interview say's "What a lucky shot. That was all luck no practice. A complete fluke..."

I could watch that shot 100 times and not figure out how she was able to get it up to the rim. What a clutch finish to get a win they really needed after the Oregon debacle.

Hoping for at least 3-2 in last 5 games. USC and Cal should be wins, Stanford a loss, UA and ASU toss-ups.

They are a fun team .
Fun but flawed. Though probably the best womens team ever put together in Pullman, one can't help notice the next-level recruiting gap between us and teams like Stanford and Oregon. Oregon, too, relies on international players, but their's appear a notch beyond ours--quicker, savvier, better shooters. Would that we could achieve more near that level.

I followed the transfer portal during the offseason a bit. A couple UW players go to CU. Chavez from Oregon to UA. Rodgers (sp?) from SC to Oregon. Kiwi Tara Ried from VCU to SC. WSU did get Burton-Oliver from ASU, but she ended up not playing due to a medical issue.

I really love our players, but we have to out work other teams especially when CL-W is able to put us on her shoulders like she did most of last year. There was some Internet talk a current Pac 12 player may transfer and she might end up at WSU. We really should be a good destination for transfers right now. We aren't Oregon or Stanford, but we have been in the upper half of the conference the last 2 years. We also have minutes. Hopefully 1 or 2 quality transfers fall our way in the offseason.

I love the players, but every game is such a grind.
1 point in the last 4:39 against USC, but still somehow win?
I really feel that they are passing up better shots early in the clock for low percentage shots later, or turnovers and shot clock violations. I would like to see them push the tempo a little. Glad to see Teder taking more shots and Clark getting a few more minutes.
All in all, they somehow get it done, and seem to really play for each other, with great team spirit and affection. Definitely struggle against taller line-ups. Stanford and Oregon seem just too big for our gals, but almost every other team is a possible W, and they are doing really, really well at winning the game they are supposed to win.

Late in the game we had 2 straight bad turnovers and 2 missed free throws. The turnovers seemed to result from maybe trying to make the perfect play instead of just a good one. A little too unselfish at times. On one play it looked like Ula could continue in for a layup and instead passed to the perimeter for a turnover.

Overall, much better offense today until the 4th. Agree on Teder and Clarke. Hoping to get a little more consistent production from Wallack but she’s just a true frosh.
