Here's the release from WSU: "The Cougars will host UC Davis in the WNIT 3rd Round on Thursday at Beasley Coliseum. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. with coverage being provided by the Washington State IMG Sports Network as well as online through Washington State’s Pac-12 Channel. The game will be the first for WSU at home in the postseason in the NCAA era."

What i like about the women s team and how they have been playing is their teamwork. It also seems like the second year coach who supposedly is teaching only defense. He seems to contribute a lot during the time outs. He has had a good impact on the team and JD was wise to hire him.

Hopefully, next year is the season the team breaks through and makes the NCAA's. There is so much experience and talent coming back because of the three starters (and probably three best players) missing so much of the season. Their backups are getting so much playing time.

Rod Jensen was a great defensive coach at Boise first as and assistant and second as their head coach. He was an assistant under Coach Ken Bone at WSU for one year and was let go when Coach Bone was fired.

For years, many of us complained that the team played rat ball with no defense. It looks like things are changing. Congratulations on a good win away from home.

It looks like UC Davis is a very good team. They seem to have a 27-7 record and beat Utah 72-62 and CSU 58-57 in the quarterfinals CSU also had a sterling record (25-9). The cougs split with Utah during the regular season beating them 61-55 there and losing to them 74-57 in Pullman. I believe the home loss was after their three starters went down. So this spirited ,revamped team has a tall order on their hands I hope people from Spokane go down and support them.

UC Davis and CSU won their regular season title but lost in their conference Tournament and obviously were one bid conferences.

The western women s teams are improving and Stanford is down a little as they are still a very good but not overpowering team.How is the PAC 12 women s basketball conference ranked? WSU is sure representing the lower teams well this year.

Yes i was surprised at how highly ranked,Oregon state is. I have only kept up with the cougs this year. I also keep tabs on Connecticut as it is awesome, the kind of team and record their coach has put together for so many years. The man is a great coach whether it be for a men s or women's team.That said ,i hope the cougs can spring another upset over a higher ranked team.
