Amazing effort by the women. I thought their win streak was coming to an end. They surprised and now face Iowa next.It has been a great run by the women .

Pretty good crowd last night and the students were definitely loud. I actually think UCD wasn't ready for the noise. It would be great if this generated some excitement for the women's team going into next year when hopefully they are back to full strength.

it seems once that women basketball s fans start attending,they seem to remain faithful. The cougs are playing as a team and playing good defense. That will win a lot of basketball games.

This is a very tough match up for the cougs. Iowa is a 20-8 team which went 8-8 in league play. They had a 17-3 home record and were 2-8 away. . They beat Colorado 80-62 at home to advance in the NIT. WSU lost to the buffs 58-70 away and beat them at home 67-56. They also beat Co 79-78 in the Conference Tournament. So the odds and records certainly favor the home town Hawkeyes

They look good and Iowa is a tough place to play. Their attendance is typically pretty strong at least traditionally.

The women have had a long uphill climb and the biggest challenge now awaits them. They are in Big 10 Country with referees inclined toward the home team.
