It what is becoming an all too familiar theme this season surrounding Cougar hoops (both MBK and WBK), WSU couldn't protect a late lead and lost by a point. Cougs led 65-56 with 5-1/2 minutes left, but were outscored 17-7 down the stretch. Mike Daugherty summed it up best afterwards: "We gave one away."

I wonder if the cougs will go after a new coach if and when JD retires? I hope they do not promote an assistant if this happens.The cougs would have a chance to clean house.
