Yup, the P12 is dead. Know what’s worse? We’re not a lock for the MWC either. Their expansion isn’t guaranteed.
The truth is, we deserve to be f#cked over by the MWC. We've all been guilty of it at some point, but for a year we've been reading on here why Fresno State, UNLV, San Jose State and other MWC schools aren't worthy of inclusion in the Pac-12.
Turns out, we are looking like we aren't worthy either. Unless a miracle happens, we better be ready to eat a solid helping of crow.
Are we scrapping the idea that the ESPN and the Big12 would want WSU? Think there’s some merit to that when you step off the ledge.
Yes. That narrative shifted quickly. They were open to it but then likely just to make UU realize they better beg for their spot. UU and to a lesser extent ASU were kind of holding off. You start saying fine we’ll take WSU then and you get MW or nothing, UU started to move. Now the 4 corners seem to be a package. We were a play.
The truth is that WSU brings more real world TV value than Arizona, ASU, OSU, Cu, Cal and Stanford but we also know that Pullman's rural location taints the world's view of our value. So yeah, they should want us, but we are definitely low on the radar and likely to get passed because they probably don't want a 20 team conference right now.
WSU is F-ed. We will be standing out in the rain, hoping for a miracle. Which isn't coming. Maybe we can have a 12 game back and forth schedule with OSU.
