Didn't see either game (unfortunately), but I feel more confident about our basketball programs than say...football.
Yep the bball programs are awesome right now.
The football program is probably not going to be bad.
Yes a lot was lost to transfers, and new coaches, etc.
But those new coaches are extremely highly thought of by the EXPERTS, and have awesome STATISTICAL DATA analytics, evidence that seem to show that they as new coaches will be good, ok at WSU.
And altho a lot was lost, Dickert, supposedly according to the Experts did a AWESOME job of replacing what lost thru transfer portal.
Yes the LB corp, and WR corp lost a lot, but a lot was replaced in those corps, via transfers, portal.
Also Dickert got A LOT of OL transfers, and the OL should be improved, despite losing Kingston.
A lot is going to depend on the QB, as Dickert didn't get a QB transfer to compete with CAM for starting QB.
But either of Mateer or Cam will be a good semi good, semi ok, serviceable QB, and Arbuckle as OC, QB coach will coach them up, and fit them into his scheme
The football team will win somewhere between 5 to 9 games, and have the potential to win 9, but will probably win about 7 games, and win at least 4,5,6 games at worst.
Dickert is not like Wulf, and not like Kent, Graham, Stevens, and not like one of Price's 2,3 win down years. He will get at least 4,5,6 wins at extreme worst in a exception, down year.
The Sky is NOT falling in the Football program.
