Week 4 Gameday?

Could it happen again?
Dang, you get credit for thinking of this.

It's either:

Colorado at Oregon
UCLA at Utah
or
Oregon State at Washington State

This is tough. Do they choose the LA market with UCLA? Coach Prime at Oregon? Or the political drama surrounding Oregon State and Washington State?

Both Utah and Oregon will be ranked higher than Oregon State, (and us).

Tough one.

I'm thinking they choose Colorado at Oregon becuase....the bigger brand is more appealing on a national level.

Unfortunately, we don't have a big brand, and that's why we got left out of the B1G, Big 12, and the ACC.

I think Gameday is in Boulder this upcoming weekend. No way they stay. I think they come to Pullman the following week

Colorado is at Oregon. Would be funny if they did another CU game. Certainly possible they come to Pullman. Definitely between those 3 games, unless this is the week they choose some FCS school. Osu/WSU would be a great storyline though.

I don't think they stay, but they go someplace else that not named Pullman, because GAMEDAY won't goto ONLY 3-0 WSU, 3-0 OSU, unless both of them win 60-0 in week 3

Now if it was 5-0, 6-0, 7-0, 5-1, etc, then Gameday would.

If Gameday does not go to Colorado, then I see GameDay going to Pullman for WSU, Colorado game, if WSU, Colorado are either 10-1, or 9-2, or 9-2 vs 10-1, etc

Something to think about...even if we hang 60 points on Northern Colorado......that's not impressive.

NCU just got blown by Incarnate Word.....42-7.

Colorado State is not a good football team.
Wisconsin is not a good football team, (meaning they might win 5 games this year, tops).
Northern Colorado is not a good football team.

Today, Wisconsin would be ranked as a # 40, (or higher) team. Buffalo lost to Fordham...so Buffalo is 0-2.

Just say what you really mean out loud. You think we suck

Uh....you're kidding, right?

Not sure if you were at the game last night, but....uh....it was so awesome, and haven't seen our team so explosive and so fast....never this fast, and hasn't been since 2018 since we've been dangerous.

Super excited, and hats off to coach for getting our team ready to play, day in and day out.

Never has anyone one of us been more confident in Cam Ward, until now. He's really stepped up, and is night and day from last year.

Wish I could have been there. Was glued to the TV. Our defense just took the wood to them. Sounds like the stadium was rocking. I swear Dickert damn near cried during the postgame interview.

It is way too early to proclaim that Wisconsin is not good. When you look at their schedule, the computers are saying that they are going to finish 9-3 this year...mostly because they don't play Michigan or Penn State. Iowa and Purdue are the only other games that are projected to be close wins. Computers don't play the games though so we'll see what happens.

We'll know more about Colorado State after they play CU next week. I don't think that they are as bad as we made them look in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but again, its too early to know.

The crowd yesterday was so electrifying. Talking about the 12th man. Loud, and I mean load. Rocking. Student section....booing at the Badgers when they would go in and out of the tunnel in front of them. Students did not leave at half time. They stayed the entire game.
Stormed the field, players, families, the band....Butch had a huge role.....everything was magical.

For 2023, if I was a visiting team, I would not want to play in Pullman.

We're going to give Oregon State and Colorado all that we have. I lost my voice for yelling so loud, when the Badgers had the ball. Mordecai could not hear the snap!

The TV Cameras all second half disagree with There was a good size void in students section & about 25% of the stands adjacent to the students were missing people too after half. I was actually embarrassed they kept showing so many metal bleachers as they came in & out of commercial in 2nd half.

Yeah, there was a pretty good exodus to the beer gardens on the practice field right after the cougs scored before the half. Most came back for the third quarter, but there were noticeably more empty seats showing in the second half.

I didn't think my crew was available to go to the game this weekend, but some last minute changes happened so we decided Saturday morning to go to Pullman and see if we could find some tickets once in there. Three of us hit campus about 2:30 -- didn't see any scalpers, but ticket windows were open and I was able to buy three tickets in the end zone right then and there. Spent the first 2 series among Badger fans, looked for empty seats to move to, saw the NW corner was very open, so spent the rest of the game watching from there. There weren't a lot of empty seats around the stadium, but that NW corner had room for another 2-300 fans. (And more than that after the half.)

Just finished watching the game from DVR. I agree, about 10% or 15% of the students did leave and not come back, and the camera clearly showed it. Still, the place was rock'n.

We play Colorado on a Friday so we can cross that one off. The good news about that is that between that and the Prime effect there's a *chance* students actually stick around to a degree for the dreaded first weekend of break home game.

If people started slamming the bleacher seats in front of them as the game went on I’m proud to say I started that shit in the first quarter. Got some sideways looks at first then the whole section was into it, so hopefully it spread like the GD wave cuz that is loud!

It sure seemed loud… I believe it can get much louder. From a fellow head splitting, horse for 3 days screamer I appreciate you MI.

What section were you in?

people have been doing that for years

If WSU and Colorado only had 1 loss, and if Gameday wanted that game, they the powers that be could reschedule the game from Friday to Saturday to accommodate Gameday.

Just wanted to say that they've announced that the WSU vs OSU game is on Fox. I doubt that we get Gameday with that being the case.
WSU Oregon 2018 was on Fox. My question is whether we get Gus Johnson, whoever Brock is with or Tim Brando. Brock owes us some for that inane tweet from last month and Brando loves Pullman and just gets it.

Big Noon will be in Boulder (again) and Colorado/Colorado St. is GameDay.

Brock's partner is Jason Benetti who is the White Sox PBP.

Gus and Klatt would get the first FOX game that weekend, likely.

Colorado is at Oregon on 9/23. The CU vs CSU game is this upcoming weekend and ESPN will already be there. I would be astonished if ESPN featured Colorado two weeks in a row. UCLA at Utah could be a compelling (and easy) visit for ESPN Gameday from Boulder on 9/16.

As mentioned by MapleStCoug, ESPN has gone to a Fox televised game campus before and the WSU vs OSU game has a compelling storyline that they could sell. So far, there hasn't been any real legal chatter about ESPN's responsibility in the demise of the Pac-12 (mostly because it's pointless) but a Gameday visit to Pullman to tout WSU and OSU's worthiness of getting a Power 5 invite would be a good way for them to pretend that they aren't the bad guys.

It’s going to be in Pullman or at ND vs Ohio State.

I didn’t even see that one on the schedule. That’s probably where they go. I’m gonna throw up in my mouth if they do another Colorado game.

The WSU OSU story would be compelling. I don’t think ESPN is worried about the optics but depends if they want to bring more light to the subject or not…you can’t really have that game and not have realignment in CFB be the focus of the show.
