When do we lose our innocence?

Wullfs teams were deeply violated many times between 08-'11. Our innocence was lost against Cal when they went up 24-0 at 11:30 to go in the first.

My innocence was pretty well shot in the 9th grade after football initiation. It involved Creamergesic (sp).

Our innocence was lost against USC when they took a knee in the red zone, just before half time. The defining point of Wulff's coaching career.

Not to hijack the thread back to its original purpose, but I really, hate, chrome, helmets. Yes I used the word innocence and I do apologize. But, if someone thought chrome helmets were cool, that ship has sailed. If we do it, holy hell.

Chrome (or otherwise reflective/mirror) helmets were interesting the first few times they were done. But with everyone now coming out with their own terrible version of them, they've become more of a liability than anything, and really an embarrassment that you're taking your cues from other teams 3+ years after the first version was released. A bit like blackout jerseys in 2014.

To the other point of this thread, we've been losing our innocence in nearly every game for 130 years. At this point I think we're in the red ink and might actually owe some innocence back.

Let's do black jerseys and pants with chrome helmets!!! Yeah tgat would be soooo cool. I bet nobody has ever thought of that!

Honestly, they do not bother me in the least. This is something that I have changed my mind. The uniforms do represent the school. I get that. However, we are not the ones wearing the uniforms and helmets. The players are. If that is what they like, then I am fine with that. Yes, some of the uniforms from some schools look ugly in my opinion. But, I am sure what I think looks nice is much different than a 17-22 year old.

What 1990 said. If players and recruits like it, then so be it. And I actually like the black jerseys.

My only requirement is that the shirt color contrast sufficiently with the names/numbers on the back that I can read it. We've had a few combinations over the last decade that made reading names/numbers rather difficult, and I'm sorry, that is just plain dumb.
