I don't get how we had so many under the radar kids on D who weren't afraid to make plays...and now they are nowhere to be found.
These weren't 4 and 5 star guys. They were lunch pail kids...maybe it is the new generation of xbox kids and recruiting ink...I dunno.
I aslo really think part of it is the huge emphasis on depth at receiver.
We don't need 100 receivers rotating in and out. The ones who like to drop balls will learn a new craft.
I was thinking...is there anyone's jersey on this team that you would buy? Is there anyone on D that likes to knock the bejesus out of somebody?

In at least one of those cases -- and, while I may be wrong and don't want to cast aspersions, potentially one or two others -- the guy wouldn't qualify today. Prop 48.
As for players on D whose jersey I'd buy, Jeremiah Allison is right up there if I was the jersey-buying type.

Allison is a great choice. If you wanted a lineman (no one usually does) Dahl would be a good choice. I would go with anyone of the Samoan players, just because.
I bought one jersey this off season: a Seahawks # 31. I was waiting for the season to start before I was going to wear it to cheer him on. It turns out I will be waiting a lot longer.

To answer your question, Falk was trying. On defense, we have a lot of new faces and underclass men, and Taliulu and Vaeao aren't real talkative I guess. Allison is trying there.
