Sure doesn't matter now, but I'm curious who Chun would have turned to if Rolo had not accepted. Was Harsin a bonafide candidate and was he interested in the job? We already know Grinch had turned down an interview, which suggests he was a target. Perhaps Chun and/or the search firm made contact with Littrell. It does seem that Rolovich was a main target from day one. I just don't know if others might have been in front of him but expressed no desire for the job.

Grinch was likely Plan B. Chun seems to have a clear profile of who he wants to hire- head coach from a smaller school in a smaller conference that's had success but is not one of the "hot commodities" the media anoints.

Agree. Hard to imagine Grinch "turned us down."
Gilby "turned us down" when Erickson left after he departed UI for a staff position with Don James.
Beat Hugh Campbell as being the first guy to pull out during that search.

FWIW, Harsin is reported to be a top candidate for the Baylor job. So is Virginia Tech's Justin Fuente, who I mentioned was looking for a way out of his current job and wondered if he would look at WSU.
