Why a 10-2 WSU team is on the outside looking in on New Year's 6

Disappointed we lost to UW, particularly in that type of weather. Oh well. That’s the way it goes.

With that said, we exceeded our expectations and our ability this season. We’re a good team, not a great team. UW is decent. Utah is decent. Oregon is decent. Stanford is decent.

The loss to UW sucked. The no call against USC was terrible. Apart from that, pretty much everything broke out way. We stayed healthy. We played a beatable schedule. There wasn’t an elite team in the conference.

The NY6 deal is a bummer, but the Alamo Bowl is in a good location against a good opponent. When you lose the P12N title game at home on the last weekend of the year, that’s what you earn.

I'm looking forward to San Antonio. It's a great place to visit.

Don't count your chickens. We haven't got the Alamo yet! All of this has me expecting the worst

UW winning tonight all but ensured that’s as far as we’ll fall. We are the outright #2 seed and we hold all of the tiebreakers. We beat Utah and Stanford head to head, we have a higher ranking, and have fewer conference and total losses than both of them.

The Alamo Bowl is now our worst case.
