I thought you could only count 1 FCS win towards bowl eligibility. Does Florida get a pass since this is Idaho's first year back in FCS?

How are people not making more of a stink about how Florida should, technically only be 8-3 right now?

The one FCS limitation is just for bowl eligibility.

Florida's SOS is basically beating 3 loss LSU and getting pounded by Georgia.

I believe Idaho was a makeup game for last year when they got weathered out.

At the time, Joe Vandal was FBS.

Yea, I don't think I care. It's their second FCS game. It shouldn't count.

I agree. Florida could have rescheduled with another school but obviously chose not to do so. They decided to go with the excuse that Idaho was FBS at the time of scheduling and figured that they could get away with it. And they did.

It was a contractual obligation fulfilled. Otherwise Florida would have had to pay Idaho their guarantee money for not playing. As I recall, they negotiated the re-play game after Florida picked up Idaho's travel costs for the first trip.

My guess is Florida bumped some other little sister of the poor FBS school after getting a go-ahead from the NCAA.

UF has big boy money, I'm sure they could have paid whatever Idaho's buyout was.

Probably doesn't matter, cause they just would have filled that date with some barely FBS, C-USA school or something. Still, would be nice to bring more light to the fact UF embarrassingly scheduled 2 FCS teams.

At the time Florida went ahead and paid UI the Million dollar guarantee even though the game was cancelled in the Ist quarter. It helped UI with its deficit. I don't know what the exact arrangements were for this year but it didn't involve another large guarantee.

The UI was paid a million for the original game even though it never got out of the Ist quarter. This pay off helped the Vandals with their deficit. They agreed to come back and play without a large guarantee this time.

Looking at the Florida schedule it is hard to see why anyone would argue that they played a tougher schedule that the Cougs.
