I have never believed games even out. When fouls occur. The type of foul that is being called. But, if possible, you just have to play your game and hope that will be enough.
I mean they have more fouls and the cougs have shot more free throws.
Ok. So? I forget what team it was, but they were told to foul Shaq every time the touched the ball because the refs won't call them all.
Probably can't, wont win with 6-12 freethrow shooting. It has been the difference in the game. If WSU had made it's freethrows: TIED GAME.
Some will point to poor shot selection and poor shooting. To be fair there has been too many non open, bad outside shot selection, early and late in the Shot Clock.
But some of that was Tamu that caused that, and WSU missed some good semi open to open outside shots 3's.
Some will say turnovers, but Tamu FORCED a lot of those turnovers.
The good is that WSU has played good defense some to most of the time.
And WSU only down 6, and there is the 2nd half, where freethrow shooting, and adjustments, can be, and might be made, executed.
And maybe Flowers will heat up.
Also got to drive and post up more.
And need to play Tony Bennet Pack defense, and give Tamu 3 point shots, as they usually miss them and have been missing them and probably will miss them.
Just saying it's weird to complain about a foul disparity when the team you are rooting for has gone to the line more. Is your argument they should have more? Seemed they called it pretty ok both ways but I'll never win that argument.
Remarkable how the game has gone from absolutely no offense to absolutely no defense. Not sure which is worse...
So much for forcing Tamu to take 3 point shots. Not happening yet. Needs to happen.
aTM is just way more bigger, way more faster, way more athletic, way more better prepared and coached.

Yeah, these dudes are just faster and quicker, all the way around. They are closing on defense in super sonic speed.
Yikes on our zone. If we play zone why not pack in the zone and let them shoot outside shots? TAMU can't shoot well.

This post didn't age well......LOL.
Rough game for the Cougs but we were due for a game where the other team exploited our terrible shooting percentages. As long as we keep the important players (looking at you Jackson) and find a true point guard, I think we'll be an NCAA team next year. IF.......
