I have zero idea how this game will go.
I didn't get to watch the game last week, so I only saw highlights and they were all of the offense. Obviously we can score, but can we defend against a P5 team? Do we look vulnerable to the run? To the pass?
I guess we'll find out tomorrow...
Yep, this is the game that will help determine how WSU does.
If WSU gets blown out, then 4,5 wins.
If close loss then WSU wins 5,6,7 wins, unless the close loss causes WSU, to only win 4,5,6 wins as range
If a close win, then 6,7,8 wins.
If a moderate win then 7,8,9 wins.
If a blow out win then 8,9,10,11 wins, etc.
And how WSU defends the run is key.
If Wiscy runs for 300 yards, for TOP, keeping WSU offense off the field, etc, then WSU loses.
The thing that WSU has in its favor, is that Fickel is a AIR RAID HC, and it's his first year, and first year trying to implement AIR RAID, so because of that Wisconsin might try to run the AIR RAID, that WSU knows how to, is able to defend, instead of running the ball for 400 yards for TOP to keep WSU's offense off the field.
If WISCY, Fickel, is smart they will do to WSU what Airforce did, and WSU would probably only get 3,4,5,6,7,8 etc, ball possessions.
And because it's only the 2nd game of the season, that's another reason why Wiscy, first year HC Fickel, might struggle to do NEW to WISCY Air Raid, vs WSU, if Wiscy, Fickel don't run the ball for 400 yards for TOP, or if WSU semi stops the run.
