The women beat Wyoming 68-67 in overtime in the NIT

I have been saying how poorly coached the women's has been Now two wins in the NIT and JD is smiling. Hats off to the team and staff for advancing ,even though three of its players are injured. Who is next?

Pavlopoulou (or was the Wyoming announced called here, "whatever her name is") really carried the load with 20. Swedlund had a tough shooting game. Kayla Washington is going to be a good one!

It is doubly tough to win on a teams home. The cougs have now won on BYU s and Wyoming s home courts.The season has been a success as the cougs were in a very tough PAC 12 women s conference this year. Even if they lose the next game ,they have done well.

Wyoming had 1,800+ and were loud. Good shot of moving on in the next game although probably on the road. Coloroda State/UC-Davis play tomorrow.

The competition gets steeper but the cougs should be competitive in the next game.Good luck in the next game whichever team they meet.They have already accomplished a lot.

Pavlopoulon had 20 points while three other player had double figure Hailley had 12 pts and 8 rbs while Swenlund also had 8 boards and 8 rbs . It was a total team effort.
