This Tournament will be held in Fullerton Ca starting Friday.. The cougs are scheduled to play St Joesphs in the first round. The sports writers see the cougs losing to St Joesphs. They predict that the cougs will then lose to Harvard in the second round. The scribes see the cougs edging Sacramento State to garner 7th place in the 8 team tournament. If the cougs beat St Joesphs they will meet the winner of the Harvard -St Marys game. St Mary s is the favorite to win the Tournament.

We can beat ST Joes if everything goes right, ST Marys would be a tough game to win. I would think we should best Harvard but that’s just cause we are from a bigger conference, I know nothing about them.

Would obviously like to get a game against St. Mary's. I haven't seen St. Joe's but they haven't beat anyone either. They lost to Toledo, beat Princeton and UIC. Play together and I would hope we have a good shot.

St Joesphs is being led by a 6'9 225 frosh who is averaging 22.5 pts and 5.0 rpg. He is shooting 64% (9/14) from 3 pt land and 69% FGP in the last 3 games. It should be an interesting match up for Robo.

That's an interesting matchup potentially on both ends of the floor if we stay out of the zone.

Just hoping for a competitive effort that continues to show improvement. I do think it is a very winnable game if we shoot the ball well. D has been pretty good since the first half of Texas Southern game

Interesting ,Robo shooting .614 % from 3 pt,and 48.6% FGP. He is averaging 18.1 pts and 8.7 rbs. Flynn shooting 19% from 3 pt land and 38.1 FGP. Milan shooting 28.6 from 3 pt land and .39.1 FGP. Obviously the cougs need to improve their 3 pt shooting if they are going to beat better teams.

Flynn will improve for sure. Also he seems to have a propensity to hit big shots down the stretch. Skaggs and Daniels can knock down 3s. Acquaah will improve, but he is not likely to be the go to guy from outside. We need 3 good shooters on the floor most of the time.

Skaggs is hitting over 70 % from 3 pt land while Daniels is hitting 50%.Chidom has to improve as he is shooting under 30 % from 3 pt land

I liked seeing Chidom start inside the arc and then go out to 3. He was much more effective the last game. I'll be a "Debbie Downer" yet again but other than Flynn most of these percentages are going to drop as the level of competition starts to improve.

I wonder why you think that? The other players are more athletic and probably able to get off their shots. Also, if Flynn and Milan can get the ball to them in their favorite spots in the flow of the game, their shooting percentages should improve. The defensive players will have to respect Milan s and Chidom s ability to drive so they will not be able to over play their jump shots. The competition will improve, but hopefully the player s comfort level and the team s offensive execution will improve as well as their on the court performances.

Of course they will, but we have 3 guys who can get hot and knock down multiple 3's.

I want to be cautiously optimistic but waiting on a legit team or two that can defend before I get too excited. If we can get by St. Joe's we get a great gauge in St. Mary's.

I see more athletic and skilled players than we have had in recent years. I think that will translate into a team that is more fun to watch. Whether it translates to a lot more wins is tough to predict.
Been watching Coug hoops for 50 years, with not a lot of winning teams so I tend to stick with them. One thing on this team is that there are more guys who have me really interested to follow

Sixty-four percent on his threes? That's going to be tough to stop.
