ernie needs to resign, he has already lost them the team is lazy and undisciplined, and will go winless the rest of the wayHate to say it, but even on tv you can see Ernie is within an eyelash of losing this team

Full on ray ball!! Elleby is playing for Elleby not WSU! Let the player drive around you then try the reach around junior high trick and stay at half court after it fails. Are you kidding me?? Not to mention standing at half court with your hands on your hips while an opponent goes down and dunks. Kent has lost this team.
I remember watching the WSU-UO game at Beasley in Tony's last year with Ernie coaching the Ducks. It was clear to me that the Ducks had quit on Ernie and their effort was pathetic. Cougs beat them 67-38 in that game and UO went on to finish the season at 8-23 and 2-16 in conference play. Several players transferred out of UO at the end of that year and EK was fired after the next season. He may be at that point now in Pullman. It really looks like this program is just circling the drain.
Glad Cougar
What if you demote Ernie to assistant. Continue to pay him while promoting an assistant to interam HC until his contract expires. Maybe out of pride he would resign.
The mens basketball team was lost the day Bill Moos announced Ernie's hiring.
Super nice guy. Aside from his well-known Mexican vacation, I don't think he's a jerk or mistreats the players or anything - but he's getting paid $1.4 Million per year for dreck?!?
There's lots of nice guys who could wear nice suits and repeatedly lose. Hell, I'd do it for, say, $600K per year. And I'd win more games than CEK and they Cougs would play better ball.
I don't know that I agree he is a nice guy. He's a TV evangelist on a basketball court. I guess they come off as nice guys, but I don't know when they just want to get to your wallet.
