There are a lot of people who are interested in the gig. Jim McIllwain crosses off a ton of boxes.

Whoever they hire they have to be relentless and tireless recruiters.

No to all three in your title. I do think if offered, all three would accept in a heartbeat. I think there are just better choices.

Kinda like a supergroup? Like Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Neil Peart on drums, Cliff Burton on bass, and Steve Perry on vocals?

They’d be unstoppable!

Curious, has the truth come out about what happened at Baylor? I heard there were some untrue rumors that made Briles to be worse than what really happened. True?

Briles redemption tour at a high school was a failure. I mean, dude could coach football, but he isn't somebody I want representing our school. The other two? Why? We're attractive enough that we can hire somebody that is actually working right now in college football.

Briles is interesting, I've thought about him before. Would just be embarrassing though.

Mora would cause riots in Pullman.

I wouldn't hire him to be our head coach, but I would look at him being the OC.

That dude will never set foot on another campus again as a coach. Stop with this. If you really cared about Wazzu you wouldn't mention these three with our great university.

There's too many good candidates. No need to open the barf bag long after the flight's over.

Briles is interesting in the way that Ted Bundy or Charles Manson is interesting. Baylor is a cesspool overall, so it's hard to say how bad Briles would have been in a normal environment, but he was willing to support and protect serial rapists on his team because they were good at the football.

Of course, Baylor is so dirty, he probably felt like an angel. It's the place where a basketball player murdered his teammate, players were dealing and drugs and freedom to sexually assault women was considered just reward for athletic excellence. Briles is a scumbag for being party to that place and the things that went on while he was coach.

Yeah you are right. I don't care cause I mentioned those three names.

Here is what I do know. Briles is the most innovative coach Leach ever had. Period. What I know about Rick N is that he was great salesman, and he did well piecing together calls at the end of a game. The questions I have about him is can he identify the right person to sell. Recruiting 8 wr's one year was not good roster management.

Jim Mora knows the state of Washington, he knows good defensive back play, and I think he is a good coordinator.

All three have baggage. Briles there are mixed reports on what he did and did not know. I wouldn't say simply no way to him as a coach without some serious investigative work. Don't forget Leach locked a player in a closet.

You damn well know that isn’t true about Leach. This is just a troll post. Nobody is their right mind would justify hiring the POS Briles. This whole thread should be deleted and Scott should ban you like your brother for bringing this nonsense.

Nice job Suudy, you just killed Neil Peart!..RIP

I wondered what you were talking about, so I did a search, and just saw the news. Tragic. His first wife also died of cancer.

I'm a huge Rush fan, and now that chapter is over. As a kid I stumbled on an 8-track of 2112 that my father had stashed in some boxes in a back room. I was entranced, and listened to it over and over and over. I've had all their albums. But I never had the chance to see them in concert. The only chance I had was back in about 1990 when they came to Seattle, but I couldn't afford tickets and my father refused to give me any money for it, much less let me go do Seattle alone as a high-school kid.

RIP. He was one of a kind.

Edit: And yes, I probably shouldn't have sullied his good name by mentioning him with the likes of Sark, Briles, etc. I cursed him.

What? Can't believe it. Didn't know he had brain cancer. Have to do it.

You should be banned for being emotionally out of control. Yes, I do know that is true that Leach did not lock James in the closet. But thank you for making my point with your emotional outburst. WSU did their homework, determined it wasn't true. There are people who say Briles is a scapegoat. Heck Kenneth Starr got fired. There MAY be more to the story. Did he sweep stuff under the carpet, what did he know and not know. If you even think about hiring him you do extensive work. Yeah, he may be Joe Paterno and looked the other way for years and years to keep the PSU image. In that event of course you don't hire him.

There is a chance like Leach he was either falsely accused. If someone did hire him, they better have assurances he didn't know and that also there are guard rails at his new gig.
