A difficult game for our girls. We had the run of play but not by much. Excellent goalkeeping by both sides. I was impressed by Gonzaga's goalie. She was a good one. Gomera-Stevens was all over the place but to no avail. Averie Collins, our Stanford transfer, played well as did Molly Meyers. Morgan Weaver was not her usual sharp self and seemed a little off to me.

Only a tie but I rather suspect that at the end of the season that it will not look that bad. Might knock us down a bit in the ratings at this time but after the schedule is done, it will have little effect. Gonzaga is pretty good and should do well in their league.

A large crowd with many crimson t-shirts present as Spokane's Wazzu alums took advantage of the opportunity to support the alma mater.

Well, crap! I do not know why but for some reason I had it in my head that they only played the ninety minutes. Quit watching after the end of the second half and missed the win. Should have known better. Serves me right. Thank you, Kurt for the correction. My embarrassment is well worth a win.

The GU announcer thought the game ended in a draw as well. Gave the records and then finally realized they were playing extra time.

Avery Collins shot looked well placed and was a rocket. The GU goalie really had no chance. Must of been under 30 seconds into extra time. Glad to get that win every year.

LOL Yep, that's what threw me off. I knew better but it didn't register. Doesn't take much to push me into a senior moment nowadays. If every time I embarrass myself the Cougs quickly come up with a win then we are in for some golden days ahead.
