Our ladies bounced back from the hammering they endured in Palo Alto with a win against the Bears in Berkeley. A relatively quiet game for most of regulation with intensity picking up during the last thirty minutes.

The score came within the first two minutes of overtime. A long throw-in headed into the front of the goal mouth and then a volley by Gomera-Stevens to the far side of the net away from the goalkeeper. Well done by the ladies. No dobbers down here after a punishing loss to Stanford.

Not that ranking matters that much at this stage of the season but a loss to #2 Stanford and then a win against #20 Cal shouldn't drop us that much.

Thanks Kayak for the update and summation. Both ladies teams (soccer / v’ball) started tough PAC12 roadtrips.
V’ball is in game 5 vs. USC after winning the first two.

Good results today! Gomera-Stevens looked a bit surprised her volley found the back of the net. Doesn't matter because it counts. Really needed both wins.
