36-10 losers to Houston. Louisville was #5 in latest CFB playoff standings,

Just increases the stakes for next week's Apple Cup since UW is #6 and would rise at least 1 spot with a win over Arizona State on Saturday.

It is interesting that Louisville is a wrecking ball, destroying everything in its path... then Wake Forest comes out and says we have solid evidence they've been stealing plays we haven't even run yet... and next thing you know, Louisville turns in a complete dud. Petrino, like Freeze and others in that area of the country where winning college football games is more important than literally anything else, is a scumbag. Wouldn't be surprised if they had to back off cheating for a week and it cost them all the marbles.

We knew Petrino was a scumbag before this though

Oh definitely. I recall a certain ATV story... and that's why I didn't give him the benefit of the doubt when I heard that WFU found playsheets documenting yet-unseen WFU plays. What makes me crazy is that the NCAA is so preoccupied with symbolic gestures (see USC) but is extremely slow to act during the season when it's most needed. If you want to deter cheating, don't allow championships with asterisks next to them - make an investigation your top priority and shut it down before they get to the finish line. Ole Miss and Auburn are completely corrupt, Alabama has a sociopathic coach (see Saban's player medical discharges) and complete lack of institutional control, and Louisville takes all those schools' players once they get out of prison. Where there's smoke...

Don't be too surprised if UW doesn't rise. They'll get no points for beating ASU. Oklahoma, on the other hand, plays #14 West Virginia. If the Sooners win, it wouldn't be too surprising if they swap places with Louisville, jumping over Penn State, Wisconsin, and the huskies (PSU plays Rutgers, Wisconsin has Purdue, so neither of them gain ground either). The Sooners are right behind Washington in both the AP and coaches' polls, so they don't really have a lot of ground to make up.

Really shouldn't be a lot of movement among the rest of the top ranked teams, this seems to be cupcake week for most of them.

The UW needs to win out to move into the top 4.
