77-73 over the gamecocks. So it will probably be Gonzaga vs North Carolina for the title Oregon with Boucher would have made it . They are down now 71-63. I predicted the zags victory and they may take it all

North Carolina beats Oregon by 1 point in a game Oregon should have won, They represented a strong PAC 12 Conference very well. Again, i predict that the Zags win it all Their front line is better than the Tarheels front line. It will be a fun game to watch. The Zag haters will not like it.

I like North Carolina. Justin Jackson is the best player in the tournament and Meeks is a load. That team has just kept on improving throughout the season.

Las Vegas odds makers have made North Carolina a early two point favorite. I still like the zags in this match-up.

Wow, you predicted a #1 seed beating a #7 seed? Congratulations.

Great season for Oregon. They should be proud of the effort. It's too bad they couldn't corral a rebound on those last free throws, but there's no guarantee they would have gone down and scored the winning basket with just 4 seconds left. However, I wouldn't have bet against them.

I don't hate Gonzaga, but I can't forget all the bad things Mark Few has said about WSU in the past. It won't bother me one bit if NC wins the NC.

Glad Cougar

Yes i predicted that the zags might win it all from the beginning if you check my posts. Wow what happened to all the other number 1 seeds? They may have lost to lower seeds? Wow! Wow! Also Few is not a humble man,but he is a great coach and he has proven it for many years. He is on the verge of his greatest achievement s a coach.

Yeah, I've read your posts. If you look back at your original post in this thread, you bragged about picking Gonzaga to beat South Carolina. I guess a lot of us can also brag about such a bold pick. What happened to the other #1 seeds? Well, one of them is also in the title game. Since you can't have more than two #1 seeds in the title game, I guess it's plausible that the other 2 didn't make it. I acknowledge that Few has been a great coach....doesn't mean I have to like him or root for him. He has not shown a lot of respect for WSU over the years, and since I'm a Cougar fan first, that sticks with me.

Glad, I am not aware of Few's disrespect towards the Cougs. Would love to hear some examples, though.

There are some specifics listed on Brand X board and I've read those kinds of comments consistently over the years. Of course, it's all hearsay, but when there is enough talk about these things, there is usually some kernel of truth to them. I remember reading something years ago about Josh Heyfeldt out of Clarkston...and that the Bennetts were very interested in him. Few reportedly had some less than kind things to say about WSU, Pullman, and the style of play the Bennetts employed. Probably not likely we would have gotten Heyfeldt anyway, but the negative recruiting just stuck in my craw. Again, I never heard Few utter those words, but it was strongly rumored. His disdain for UW and Romar was widely reported. Maybe that's a good thing, but it appears he has carried a disdain for the Pac-12 schools in the state.

I see where people have said that he said "doesn t recruit against bottom feeders",meaning the cougs. Is that disrespect, truth, or an echo heard here on the board? Few has built a powerhouse and i am unsure where his dislike of WSU comes from?I said that before the Tournament started that the zags would win the National Championship. When i first saw the zags on TV,they looked like a team without real weaknesses. They have very good big men , guards, good depth, and are well coached. Few got valuable transfers and did a great job of recruiting to get the zags on the verge of winning it all. Few looks like an arrogant ass and i am sure he lives up to that description.

The way Gonzaga and the UW handled WSU's attempt to open a medical school really showed me something about how our institutions serve our state. I know we aren't perfect but they really tried to throw a wrench into our plans and ultimately aligned with each other against WSU.

Hoops is one thing but when they actually go out of their way to hurt WSU as an institution that seals it for me.

The Zags are absolutely on fire, and NC had all they could handle with a team that lost its star player and pretty much handed them the game on a platter.

That loss is going to sting for a long, LONG time in Eugene because those players simply let themselves and each other down.

Zags win by double digits.

Keep in mind South Carolina's Thornwell was playing with the flu and wasn't nearly as productive as he had been in previous games. I'm hoping for a good game.

And Oregon didn't have their best player - at all. And their other two top players went 5/22, a lot of those shots were open too.

I'm not rooting for the Zags or hating on the Heels, just my .02.

You made the point on Boucher in your first post. I only was adding that South Carolina wasn't at full strength either.

For whatever my opinion is worth, Boucher is probably not even the third best player on UO. Brooks was conference POY, Dorsey carried them offensively throughout the tournament until the UNC game and is a surefire NBA draft prospect, and Bell is conference defensive POY who is also being looked at by NBA teams if he decides to come out. Not knocking Boucher and they arguably would've won Saturday with him, but he wasn't even a starter for the Ducks.

Just a couple of points of clarification on Few and his attitude toward WSU. The only tangible evidence I have is how he big timed us in the home and home series. Most of the other things I gave heard is hear say, but there is enough that I believe the bad mouthing to be true.

As for Heytvelt, he committed to GU before Dicj Bennett was hired. However Dick told people later he would not have recruited Heytvelt. He didn't get a good vibe from Heytvelt when he talked to him.
