A healthy Cedric Coward and a more experienced Le Juan Watts should make a big difference next season
Another 21 point beatdown at home. 8 of our losses by double digits and 2 losses to Pacific. 4 losses by 20 or more points while playing a schedule that only had 1 team ranked when we lost to them and not a single real quality win. Not seeing any improvements with shot selection, defense, turnovers. These are all basic things that you don't need superstars in order to do.
I was at that KSU game. Right before Apple Cup. Terrible seats in an upper corner but it was still one of the better Coug basketball environments that I'd been in. We lost but at least it was interesting until the end. Last night? Not so much.
With the portal, there’s absolutely no reason to think they will return.
Based on the injuries, I’m willing to give Riley one more season to show what he is able to build as a program. Color me skeptical at this point.
The new president has said athletics is a key part of the vision of the university. At her age, she doesn’t have many seasons to prove that point. The leash will be short.
Injuries or not with a sellout and a regional “rival” in town that was a pathetic effort. Other than the first few minutes absolutely nothing to get the crowd going and behind the team. Sorta has a rock bottom feeling for Coug athletics in general.
Speaking of the portal, could we see Coach Riley make a run at bringing Coug legacy and ex-GSL star Dylan Darling back into the fold?
Saw at Brand Y that DD is tearing it up at Idaho State, averaging 20 ppg and 6 apg
While we’re at it bring back Rice. He’s got to be miserable at IU considering how much love he got here. I don’t blame the kid for getting his bag but his prospects for the next level certainly didn’t improve with that. I doubt he’s an NBA player but he could make some money overseas.
