Pasadena (Calif.) Muir cornerback Taeon Mason announced on Twitter today that he has committed to Washington State. The 6-foot, 165-pound athlete picked the Cougars over offers from Notre Dame, UCLA and USC, whom he was committed to for 11 months.
Shortly after an in-home visit with the Washington State staff, led by area recruiter Ken Wilson and Mike Leach, Mason informed WazzuWatch.com that he was de-committing from USC and the expectation was that he would flip to Wazzu. It's a big pickup for the Cougars, who are recruiting Mason as an athlete that can play on both sides of the ball, however his best position is probably cornerback at the next level.
We'll have more from Mason shortly.
