In terms of talent in the country for high school kids? I'll say Washington is about 40th in the country producing football players. Washington produced maybe, what 15 Power 5 kids in the entire state this year and this might have been one of the better years? Do I want to keep kids in state? Yea, but if they are going to Bellevue and Lakes, they aren't coming to WSU. The only player that came from Lakes had more stats on his police report than he did on the field and the only player that we got from Bellevue saw more green off the field then on. WSU just will never be a destination school for kids on the westside of the state. But I also laugh this whole "fence around the state" crap and praise being throw at Petersen. Honestly, Gilby and Ty recruited top players from the state, so what Petersen is doing is nothing special. I'm just wondering how good some of these kids will be if you threw them down in some of the LA leagues.
