2020 P12 North Prediction

Honestly the only interior D lineman that consistently made some plays this year was somebody I'd pretty much forgotten about, and that's Dallas Hobbs. He grew into his frame. He doesn't demand double teams, but he holds up and makes plays when they're there to make. Which would make him about the 4th or 5th best DT on a Price team, but that's where we are right now. He or McDougal might be more effective either paired together or next to the Indiana kid, with Rodgers as more of an end. Only a handful of teams have a legit NT in college football at any one time, because that's just a rare combination of traits.

I would have liked to seen Hobbs and McNugget on the field at the same time too, in certain situations. Add Echevaria to that as well. Especially good idea on short yardage situations and inside our own 10 yard line. Our D inside our 5 yard line was a sieve.

Well i hope the 250 DL recruit is all you guys want him to be. He was not that heavily recruited. Perhaps it was due to his size. But he may have the strength and quickness to offset that. The quickness is what will determine if he can get the initial push and leverage on bigger Ol guys. That is what made Herc great at the collegiate level.

Rational doesn't have anything to do with it......but I think that UW had been the beneficiary of stability at the QB position prior to 2019. Losing Eason is going to keep them in the same 7-5 range that they were in 2019 Nothing lasts forever and we are due to beat them sometime and it might as well be 2020.

The comment about Oregon losing their OL is a good one and I could see them falling off, but they are the school in the Pac-12 North that recruits well enough that they should be able to reload. I wouldn't be shocked if they dropped off significantly though.
True about Oregon's recruiting. Still, they were much like Price's teams, only really good this year as a senior laden team with multiple year starters. I think Cristobal is a very good recruiter, but his coaching is a step or two below. There is nothing wrong with picking the champ until someone knocks them off. But, I am in the mindset of let's seem them do it consistently before we crown them again.

Agree that Cristobal doesn't come across as a great coach. Hell, one tackle at the right time and they would have lost to us for the fifth straight time. They have the talent to be good every year, but I agree with you that that their coaching staff hasn't shown that they can consistently take advantage.

What's happened to Ahmir Crowder on the d-line?
He should be a factor at some point but I don't recall hearing his name too much this year. His weight should more suitable now that he's been in the program a couple of years.

Honestly, college is such a crap shoot form year to year, based on what we know this is how I see it

Oregon and UW have recruited the most talent over the last 3-4 years
Cal returns a ton of its team, and has a veteran QB
Us, OSU, Furd, have some strengths and some serious questions.

I reserve the right to change my mind but here is how I would pick it now:

1. Cal
2. Oregon
3. Washington
4. Oregon St.
5. WSU
6. Stanford
