A short video on cameo in a personalized message .Boy scout? Movie talent scout? Football scout?
Cameo of what sort? In a movie? Saying something in a short video on social media?
Ah, OK. I may get one of those, actually.A short video on cameo in a personalized message .
It's an app that celebs/coaches/"public figures" can charge x amount of dollars for a message of x amount of length. You can tell them if there's specific things you want mentioned ("happy birthday!", etc)Ah, OK. I may get one of those, actually.

There's some cool people on there.

Which leads me to something interesting.
My brother had a career in sales. Always seemed to move around, in the same industry, (telecom sales) but he would always move around and have typically short stints. Whether it wasn't a good fit, or he got fired, (or "let go"), or his employer was a flake, and didn't pay the commission, whatever the reason....he seldom was at the same company for more than two years.
In 30 years, he probably worked for 12 different telecom companies. Yes, a lot of it was on commission, cold calling, relationship building, etc, etc....but he loved this industry and always was in telecom sales.
Many years ago, when he started with a new (small) company, he would give me his business card.
I said...."don't give me your business card until you've been there for over a year".
He always remembered that. "Just don't give me your business card, until you've been there for a year".
Prove yourself. Work hard. Find a good fit. Find the right employer, but more importantly, work hard and prove yourself.
You get the point.
By the way, for years he didn't give me a business card, because his latest gig seemed to never prosper. Always something wrong, and then he had to find another company. Don't get me wrong, he had some success.....but still.....,"don't give me your business card until you've been there for over a year."
What's my point?
We're seeing this with NIL, (Name, Image and Likeness).
Take Max for example. He's on Cameo for $85.00. Great. He could you some "walk around money". Call it beer money or whatever.....but a college kid can always use some extra cash, right?
However....and let's be honest. Look in the mirror.
Has MB reached his potential? Has his recent performance been outstanding, exceeding expectations? Freshman year with Leach, yes. Max was amazing. But honestly, I think this year, this season...Deon McIntosh is the better back. There. I said it.
Putting the cart before the horse?
Prove yourself....but really truly.... prove yourself....then go on NIL. Don't get me wrong. His intentions were good. Everyone loves MB. But this season has not nearly met the hype.
I don't blame him. But....here we have a guy who's on Cameo for hire with a shout out....while producing far below expectations.
Could it be our O-Line? Could it be bad coaching? Could it be not getting 20 to 25 touches each game? Could it be he's coming off a minor injury?
Whatever the excuse....I think DM has been more of a threat and weapon than MB.
Your thoughts?
NIL isn't about production. The biggest earner pre August was a guy who never saw a down of football yet as he just graduated from college.Cameo Website.
