Last week I briefly posted, "a Setback is a Setup, and 95% is how we react". Whether you didn't get the job, you didn't get the girl, you didn't get the house, you name it, we all go through setbacks, right?! Looking back, aren't you glad you didn't buy that house, or take that job?

I would rather lose to Portland St. and beat a BIG10 Rutgers team, (than beat PSU and lose to RU). Yeah, we're not 2-0, but I'm liking the outcome. As a result, we're a better team, and we'll absolutely show up for Wyoming.

I agree, M-I. Beating Rutgers and being 1-1 is much better than beating PSU and being 1-1. Shows a team with much more potential than vice-versa. Also, competing against the athletes Rutgers has it is easier to see what Leach means when he says this is his best team here. The Coug running backs showed they are big boy backs, as did the receivers, the QB, the O-line and, for the most part, the defense. Now special teams needs to start functioning on at least a mediocre level to allow this team to compete well with anyone else on its schedule.

I get your point, but it is a false choice based on what I expected at the beginning of the season. I expected to be 3-0 heading into Pac-12 play. Now this team may take that experience, and the tough lessons learned, and turn it into a season that surpasses most of our expectations, but at this time we need to steal a win most don't expect. Not sure where that is coming from, but perhaps @ Arizona is as good a candidate as any.

I get what you're saying. I think everyone expected to be 3-0 (heading into conference play). As a result, this team will take Wyoming seriously, (they'll show up), establishing a foundation to potentially have a great season, (assuming our Defense and Special Teams improve).

BTW, if we continue to play good on the road, we've got Berkeley, Eugene, and Pasadena - all away games. Anything's possible.
